Challenge

We were tasked to help Microsoft recruit future employees - and to remind current employees why Microsoft is a great employer.

Insight

The best people to sell the benefits of working at Microsoft are current employees. By talking about how great Microsoft is, current employees will become even more enthused.

Solution

Employee crowdsourcing at its best.

We asked Microsoft employees to create a ten-second Microfilm extolling the virtues of Microsoft. All the films go on the Microsoft intranet - and are voted on by other Microsoft employees worldwide. The creator of the winning films wins a miniature clapperboard, and a team night out at the cinema. And the best films are used to attract future employees.

The standout nature of a ten-second Microfilm, with our mnemonic the mini clapperboard, has captured the attention of employees worldwide.
